All Under the Sun.

The world of the Heartlands is vast, ancient, and teeming with life. Where in our world, humans rose up and claimed sapience, the world of Heartlands is one inhabited by many beasts who now find themselves in an early medieval age. From the leonine Azadi and the lupine Vargar to the avian Velikan and Dredgen, the many peoples of the Heartlands might resemble the animals of our world, but they each possess histories of their own, as well as religions, cultures, homelands, technology, and magic.

Heartlands takes place in the Fourth Age, as many races reach their cultural and political zenith, while others rise from the ashes or grasp at the stars. Beyond this world, ancient evils stir, and war is a constant across the Continent, from the Golden Plains of Ikasa and the towering mountains of Varangrad to the mysterious Isles of Saijun and the frigid Far Marches and Maruk Archipelago.

War for the Heartlands

Set in the Heartlands universe, War for the Heartlands is a tabletop skirmish game which sees players control bands of warriors from one of multiple factions. The game features races from the Heartlands lore, with each faction having a host of warriors to choose from. Players form Bands from a list of these models, with rules to determine how many models a player can use in battle based on their faction and the units they select.

War for the Heartlands is currently in the concept phase, with four planned expansions, featuring rules for naval and aquatic combat, nighttime battles, expanded magic, and additional units for every faction as well as at least one new faction for each expansion.

Tales From the Heartlands

A tabletop roleplaying game set in the world of Heartlands, Tales From the Heartlands sees a small group of players take on heroic adventures in a vast and ancient world. In Tales From the Heartlands, each player creates a character, choosing from a list of races, abilities, skills, and powers, among other attributes, then playing that character as they embark on a quest across the Heartlands. All the while, the game master weaves the story, throwing challenges at the players and rewarding their success with great boons, such as treasure, upgraded skills, or simply glory.

Tales from the Heartlands is currently in the early concept phase, with plans for expansions and various rulebooks, including a game master’s guide, a player’s guidebook, and lore releases. Expansions include new pre-written campaigns, additional rules for character creation, new races, new spells, and more.
